Out for a night of sketching...

Monday, September 22, 2008

Leave it to the Totoro Auction to bring together more artists from around the globe.
Tonight I had dinner and hung out with the brilliant Oren Haskins, who was in town for a few weeks.
Twice as nice of a guy as he is an artist, which is saying alot! He popped by Blue Sky, and then we all headed into the city to Patsy's pizza to grab a bite. Mike Knapp, Willie Real, and Petey Ngyuen were in attendance.

Great times and some fun sketching afterwards at a coffeeshop...

Since the book is out, I thought it would be good to post a little something.
Some of my old friends hadn't heard of our book project, so here is a little sampling from my story...
I had put up sketches in earlier posts, but this is one of the finishes...

I'm back one week from the almighty TOTORO FOREST AUCTION, and it was unbelievable.
I will devote a blog entry just to it.
In the meantime, I dashed this one off on the way home from midtown tonight...
